The United Kingdom (UK) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that they are working towards achieving a trade goal of $35.4 billion by 2020. As of 30 June, UAE airports will be charging passengers a service fee when leaving the country. An initiative by the UAE government was launched that prevents banks from taking legal action against small businesses struggling to payoff their debts. The UAE central bank instructed banks to freeze the assets of two senior officials at Abu Dhabi's state-owned International Petroleum Investment Co (IPIC) group. The UK, the UAE, and Jersey signed a number of deals to prevent double taxation. The Dodsal group, a UAE based firm, announced plans to invest $300 million in Tanzania’s gas projects. Egypt and the UAE undertook a joint training operation in Gulf waters. The UAE Red Crescent opened a school for children from Mosul, Iraq in the Dibaga Refugee Camp near Makhmour. The United States (US) is reported to be considering providing the UAE with military assistance in Yemen to fight Al Qaeda.
